sentosa tip...
woke up in the early morning
and headed down to Dhoby Ghaut with mum
to meet up with my cousin Cuifen and my youngest aunt...
and yeah.. and Darius from down-under..
took the train to HarbourFront and had lunch at FoodRepublic...
around noon, we bought the tickets... for one of the packages...
and took the monorail to Imbiah station,
just next to the Merlion, which is our first stop...
8 dollar per person... (it wasn't included in our package)
at the entrance, they gave a gold coin each... for a secret gift...
inside, it was like some sort of cave with "old movie horror" posters...
at one point, with lots of UV lights...
the staff approached us and took a pic...
then we waited for a door to open which leads us into a small theatre
previewing a short animation bout the history of merlion...
pretty crappy....
next... there are bout 8 merlion heads...
whereby you insert the given gold coin
which produces a card... A, B or C...
we took a lift up... (level 10?)
way up to the Merlion's head...
another pic taken at the mouth area....
and the view on top of the head... erm... nothing much...
so back to the elevator....
reached ground floor... it was a shop full of merlion merchandise
we collected the mystery gifts...
and the photos taken aren't free...
you'll need to purchase em'...
next stop...
we went to ride the Sentosa Lunge
opposite the Carlsberg Sky Tower...
The luge is a self-driving three-wheel,
gravity-driven car system in which
riders control the speed by pushing
a pair of handlebars back(to slow down)and forth
it was fun, fast speed on bends and curves...
650 metres is too short!
then we took the Skyride up...
it's just a bench with safety bars secured and your legs dangling in the air...
good luck if you slippers drop...
back up.. we took the CarlsberySkyTower...
we had a photoshot again.. at the start with a fake backdrop
(so you'll end up paying for it else they'll leave it there for all to see)
it was a 7min slow ride for a good view of the entire length of Singapore's skyline and a panoramic view of the island 110 metres above ground...
it was raining...
so we headed down to the 4D Magix
queued up for like 20mins...
it's just one of those 3D shows with those shades...
and the chair shakes with every "impact" scenes and the rest...
i'll leave to those who wants surprises...
it was a good 15mins show....
by the time we got out, the rain stopped...
so we headed back up to the Lunge
3 of us took the car ride down again...
while mum and aunt took the Skyride down...
the package includes 2 trips of Lunge and Skyride(up and down)
down at the beach... we went to buy tickets for the
Songs of the Sea show at the 7.40pm slot...
6 bucks per person...
the mid afternoon to evening time was spent
walking around Palawan Beach, tea break at KouFu,
Animal and Bird Encounter show,
beach tram detour back to BeachStation...
walked around DragonTrail, waiting for the show to start...
the queue started at 650, 50mins before the show starts o.o
so yeah... the gates opened at 720...
it's live cast(people running about, waving, lip syncing), water jets, lasers, special computer imaging with water jets, bursts of fire,
music and songs that sound like Hi5, flame bursts and pyrotechnics.
The tram was so crowded as most ppl are heading back to VivoCity
after the show ended...
we had dinner at some Chicken Rice Stall...
it was so full... and darius sure enjoyed it
he loves oriental and spicy food...
and he's able to hold the chopsticks, the correct way...
but his mum didn't teach him chinese or teochew...
and there isn't anyone to converse with him..
we sent him back to Orchard Hotel....
it's like geylang over there at night...
we took the taxi home... a total of 13 hours outside...
oh, i met jenny on the train at HarbourFront station!

just had bathe and stuffs...
managed to catch the last train home....
i was with gab, amelia, winson, weijie, meili
at s11 (the one opp AMK Hub)...
i always get weird responses("very uncle") when i ordered Teh-Si
been drinkin that(since FYP) when i eat out with my parents...
yeah, those 3 guys working at Laserfair...
so most of the time talkin bout shows...
the people they work with, their location...
and their secrets... ("ripping", if you get what i mean in IT)
i wanna watch Smallville and PrisonBreak...
yeah, i've finished watchin DenshaOtoko...
okie.. before that...
afternoon was at FarEastPlaza... with yc and plp....
had FriedMarsBar... for the first time!
not so bad... tasted like goreng-pisang with ice-cream...
but i'm not craving for it...
and i bought a white shirt with dull gold prints
of lots of boxes with "japanese guys" faces design in it...
it's a small store[StoreRoom] along those small female shops at (level 2?)
and the guy told me the shirt's a local brand[HnG] founded bout a year...
so yeah... tf arrived at 4pm
we had dinner at burgerking...
and at 610pm... went to Lido to watch TNMT...
CGI/Graphics: 10
Action Choreography: 9 (screen too big)
Storyline: 7 (doesn't make sense)
(April can fight off the FootNinjas, Casey can move as fast as the turtles, Huh? to ZhangZiyi)
Comedy: 7
Value: 6
it's the kind of value you can download this animation on net
and the annoying part is kids make noise and ask questions
and weird people laughing at non-funny scenes...

but still, i like it, it's a child-hood thing...
90mins, it ended early...

the rest wanted to watch MrBean...
so there we go... next movie at 750pm...
wasn't really keen in it... the classics are great...
and yeah...
the flim's ok... as what i expected
i had some short good laughs and... more of the time i was like
"what the.... right..." "why am i watching this?"
everything falls nicely near the end (which i find it something good to compliment)
oh well... 650bucks per movie
quite worth it for a weekday...

my friend msg me this link
http://www.laozhabor.blogspot.com/
singaporean auntie blog.. for those who haven't seen it...
i was shocked... (no offence)
and at the same time... pretty impressed
remarkable indeed...

alright time to sleep,
driving lessons tomorrow,
gonna visit xavier and eileen too...

Sunday, March 25, 2007,11:24 PM

went to the Changi Airport today
to fetch my grand-aunt from Australia (my grandma's non-bloodrelated sister)
and her son (his mum's a chinese, and his dad's an "Australian AngMo" )
6 years my senior(year of monkey?)...
strangely, he's thin and small build, slightly above 170,
(imagine a taller version of weisiong)
very different from what he looks like when he emailed his photos to my uncle...
and he's kind of the "caught in the middle" sort of mix
like his (face)features a western, but the eyes, black hair and yellow skin tone of an asian...
this is a really old pic.. taken 2005... it'll take some time before my uncle will email me the pics taken today..
right... so yeah, headed down to their Orchard Hotel
unpacked some stuffs...
then dinner at EastCoastPark's NoSighboard Restaurant...
and yes... he holds the chopsticks better than me...
i'm not ashamed either =D

just finished watchin japan-drama
"1 Litre of Tears"
and i'm not ashamed to admit that i cry for like 10mins for the last 2 episodes...
the sadness died down when you switched to the next episode
the interruption in MSN...
or even that annoying dad of mine who pissed me off for telling you to sleep...
yeah...
it's best to watch it at night...
quiet.. and cry your hearts out...
the insert song, Konayuki (粉雪) by Remiotomen
(my current playlist with Nakashima's album)
and the ending theme OnlyHuman by K
really creates the mood and sadness for the series...
though some may say "ok la..." or "i didn't cry"
anyway.. it's a 2005 drama... some may have even watched it
here's the description from wiki

Litre of Tears (1リットルの涙, Ichi Rittoru no Namida) is a Japanese television drama for about a girl who was diagnosed with a disease called Spinocerebellar Degeneration when she was 15 years old, and was able to continue her life until her death at the age of 25 years old. Erika Sawajiri played this girl in this drama.

The plot is based on the true story of a Japanese girl named Aya Kito (木藤亜也, July 19, 1962 - May 23, 1988), who had the same disease. She kept writing in her diary to remember her experiences until she could no longer hold a pen. Aya simply wished to live until the end of her life, and the purpose of writing in the diary was to remind herself to not give up. She shed tears many times, at the same time encompassed by the rich love and support from her family and friends. Her diary 1 Litre of Tears was published shortly before her death. It encouraged many people, healthy or diseased, because of its inspiring and courageous messages. As Aya wrote, "Just being alive is such a lovely and wonderful thing."
